THE HOPE FOUNDATION WELCOME "Where there is hope, there is life. It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again." Saids Anne Franklin THE HOPE AS A CHARITY FOUNDATION has families in West Africa Communities, they are so dear to us and it's our aim to inspire them for them to see the rainbow. We seek to help them emotionally, psychologically, and financially and we know you will help us to bring joy to these families A GIVING HANDS They usually say that life has never treated them well, what ever they are surrounded with keeps them in their situation unless helping hands support them, this because; if there is no work there is no food, if there is no education there is no work, if there is no food there is no health, if there is no health there is no work, every way seems just the same: hopeless. DONATE NOW This pattern may have existed for generations but behind every pattern lies an individual, a face, a hope, a life, which is more than a simple pattern of poverty. As Charlie Chaplin said: “You will never find a rainbow if you are looking down”. this statement show us the importance of hope. But what does hope really mean for the poorest of some West Africa societies? Giving hope is our aim, is what we work on we want you to be their inspiration As a charity we want to motivate families to look up and see that rainbow Chaplin talked about. For that matter THE HOPE FOUNDATION have discovered that, the only long-term way to break circles of poverty or patterns of poverty and to eradicate poverty is EDUCATION. Yes we work perfectly on psychological, emotional and health issues but education is the key So when we begin working with families we usually ask what gives them hope. See their replies One family father desperate to break out of poverty replies: ‘I hope that Open Hands will help me to stand on my feet. I hope that one morning I will wake up and I will have responsibility to go to work for my family, then I will have the feeling that now we are someone in this world. ‘I hope that Open Hands can help me to fix the ceiling so that it does not rain inside our room anymore” A mother’s reply: ‘I hope that with the help of Open Hands I can fix my house and bring my kids home from the orphanage.’ Our children have so much potential but they need time, love, affection and teaching to develop these potentials . They need our help, our giving hearts, our helping hands, our input now, in order to develop into healthy adults in our societies this will help to break the poverty circle in our societies. CLICK HERE TO DONATE Together We Can, so no matter how hard their lives have been we need them to have the courage to look up we want to inspire them and hope for something better. We know certainly well that any hope that has been lost, we believe that, you helping us we, together will be able to bring joy, happiness and hope to these people. GIVE MY QUOTA Our latest project is called: The OBI INSPIRATION in collaboration with THE HOPE FOUNDATION (in Ghana: Assin Foso) –A GIVING HANDS Learning Centre at Salvation Army. THE HOPE FOUNDATION will support the educational development of children through structured play, songs, arts and crafts, food, hygiene, story time and help with school work. There will be three groups: for babies, pre-schoolers and school-aged children. However, to offer all three groups of children to participate in the project, we need to raise an extra amount of GH¢324,000 a year. This money will be spent on hot nutritious meals for the children, the running costs of the house, toys and learning materials and some drugs for the psychiatric department. we would also like to build an outdoor play area for the children. The OBI INSPIRATION will open its doors for the nursery aged children this April Please help finance this project you can make a secure donation on our website: https://dashboard.flutterwave.com/donate/krv8sqqtlsst or send a cheque to the address below. ezekielkwamemensah1@gmail.com WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT ALL ALONE we would like to express our sincere appreciation. Thank you for your support! #httpsjungleheroes1blogspotcom

"Fear of a Black Nation: Race, Sex, and Security in Sixties Montreal"

In the 1960s, Montreal was a hotbed of radical politics that attracted Black and Caribbean figures such as C.L.R. James, Walter Rodney, Mariam Makeba, Stokely Carmichael, Rocky Jones, and Édouard Glissant. It was also a place where the ideas of Frantz Fanon, Aimé Césaire, and Malcolm X circulated alongside those of Karl Marx, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Simone de Beauvoir. During this period of global upheaval and heightened Canadian and Quebec nationalism, Montreal became a central site of Black and Caribbean radical politics.
