AMERICA IS NO LONGER A DEMOCRACY ?
THIS HODGEPODGE OF A SYSTEM WE LIVE IN WHICH INCLUDES A PLUTOCRACY, A CORPORATOCRACY, A KLEPTOCRACY AND A OLIGARCHY MUST END!
What do you think of the new names I've coined... Rethuglican's and Dumbacrat's!
In these times, when in Washington DC, there exist a revolving door between the corporate board room and the highest branches of government, along with a direct relationship between corporate money and legislative outcomes despite the will of the people, it is becoming clear that the current two party system has an unfair advantage, money has corrupted the free market system of democratic government, and just as sometimes government’s decide legally that a given company is a monopoly that doesn’t serve the best interests of the market and/or consumers.
Maybe the time has come to see the two party system as at the least a monopoly, and possibly a cartel that doesn’t serve the best interest of everyday citizens, the electoral market, which are political consumers.
If you look back over election cycles, and you can go back decades, what has been the trend to date in America under a two party system as far as war, environment, human rights, consumer rights, jobs, education, healthcare, energy, foreign policy etc…?
Are average American’s socio-economically better off today than they were twenty or thirty years ago under a two party system?
Have we respected and led the world in a moral and just way, or have the policies of both parties allowed the abandonment of millions of Americans, and the exploitation of still more citizens of the world!
What America needs now are more choices with different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds.
We need new voices, not tethered to, and directed by special interest, but elevated, guided, and responsive to the people.
We have been called, “The Great Melting Pot“, we have become a “Cultural Mosaic“.
Times change!
How could the narrow ideology of a two party system be expected to represent the vast expanse of the American experience?
It cannot, history shows it has not, democracy is an evolutionary process, and it is time to do what is best for the country and future generations, and take the first steps forward, and support alternative Independent candidates and additional political parties into mainstream American politics.
We need to change the system that serves itself, into one that serves the people by introducing competition and diversity!
We must be “conscious political consumers” and weigh in on both the supply and demand side if we want a good “government” product until we implement a better solution which to me would be replacing this system including the Monetary Based Economy we live in which has made us debt slaves and replacing it with a Resourced Based Economy!
Herein lies the central tension of the two–party doctrine.
It identifies popular sovereignty with choice, and then limits choice to one party or the other.
America’s faith in the two–party system begs the following question:
Why do voters accept as the ultimate in political freedom a binary option they would surely protest as consumers?
This is the tyranny of the two–party system, the construct that persuades United States citizens to accept two–party contests as a condition of electoral democracy and it doesn't have to be!
THE PEOPLE CREATED THIS SYSTEM... THE PEOPLE CAN CREATE A NEW ONE!
ONE WORLD... ONE PEOPLE... ONE ❤️
