10 Things I Tell My Daughter Every Time

1. I tell her Mungo Park did not discover River Niger. Villagers and tribesmen were living and surviving by the bank of the river long before Park came from Netherlands to distort history.

2. I tell her to resist anyone who deceives her that the god of some Jewish ancestors named Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the only way to GOD. I emphasize it to her that, those three are not more important than her own ancestors Agba, Udida, Atsu etc. The only difference is that the world has been lying to us for over two millenia that the Jewish patriarchs were better and chosen and that our salvation is in the genealogy of foreign tribes.

3. I continually remind her that Ham's curse is not the reason for her black skin as we have been deceived over the centuries, but that the volume of sunshine in Africa where GOD placed us required that GOD inputs MELANIN into our skin to deal with the radiation.

4. I tell her that the day she starts bleaching her skin is the day she has lost her self confidence and humanity to the inferior teachings of those who want to control her mind.

4. I tell her that struggling to speak through the nose to sound like a foreigner is a clear sign of inferiority complex and a deep identity crises.

5. I remind her that her African name is not just a name but a profound expression of a bunch of feelings sorrounding the circumstances of her birth and taking a foreign name isn't always a sign of progress.

6. I continue to let her know that all the Pharaohs of Kemet (Egypt) were black. None was white or Arab and that civilization, mathematics, philosophy all started there by people with the same skin color like hers, until history was distorted deliberately.

7. I tell her not to hate nor to detest those who want to control her mind and make her inferior but to always stand up to them and defend who she was created by GOD to be, wherever she find herself.

8. I tell her that Jesus is not the only way to God. He is only one of many ways. That everyone who does good, who loves God and who does not do unto others what he/she will not tolerate from others, will inherit GOD's kingdom, whether the person be a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or even Atheist.

9. I encourage her to read and to study hard, to understand her history and the Kemetic concept of Ubuntu and communalism and to resist the Occidental concept of individualism.

10. I also let her know that a dick is not what makes a man strong, neither does a pussy makes a woman weak. That it is the "holy books" that deceived the world that one sex is weaker than the other. I let her know that for as long as she can make herself a solution to some of the problems of the world, so long shall the whole world stand still and honor her.

We spend a lot of time together. She is still very young with the mind of an empty slate. She is very inquisitive and restless. I need to write these nuggets on that innocent heart before the world fills her up with jaundiced prejudices.

Don't worry about her. She is growing up to become a very confident, beautiful black woman that is complete in all ramifications and I can't wait to see her on podiums around the world, telling the world about what the world has refused to tell children like her, all over the world.

Good morning beloveth and have a great weekend.

Yours sincerely,
Citizen Agba Jalingo

"African Founders: How Enslaved People Expanded American Ideals"

African Founders explores the little-known history of how enslaved people from different regions of Africa interacted with colonists of European origins to create new regional cultures in the colonial United States. The Africans brought with them linguistic skills, novel techniques of animal husbandry and farming, and generations-old ethical principles, among other attributes. This startling history reveals how much our country was shaped by these African influences in its early years, producing a new, distinctly American culture.

Drawing on decades of research, some of it in western Africa, Fischer recreates the diverse regional life that shaped the early American republic. He shows that there were varieties of slavery in America and varieties of new American culture, from Puritan New England to Dutch New York, Quaker Pennsylvania, cavalier Virginia, coastal Carolina, and Louisiana and Texas.

This landmark work of history will transform our understanding of America’s origins.
