Ryan Coogler, Sinners isn't just a vampire flick, it's a love letter to his Mississippi roots In nineteen Thirty two twin brothers, both played by Michael B. Jordan, open a juke joint in Jim Crow South, where the Delta soulful blues draw blood thirsty vampire hires. Kugler drew from his uncle James's tales passed down through family barbecues, spinning those haunting guitar riffs into a supernatural battle. Those loose there, no prop, they carry the weight of black resilience, born from slavers pain, yet piercing the veil of time. Shot on epic, seventy millimeter film centers weaves history, faith and horror, showing why some state in the south despite it's scars. Coogler spite to own the film.
