Have you ever wondered why Easter Sunday can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25?
And why do Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Easter on a different day than Western churches?
At the heart of the matter lies a very simple explanation.
Easter is a movable feast because the earliest believers in the church of Asia Minor wished to keep the observance of Easter correlated to the Jewish Passover.
The death, burial, and resurrection of the Christ happened after the Passover, so followers wanted Easter to always be celebrated subsequent to the Passover.
And, since the Jewish holiday calendar is based on solar and lunar cycles, each feast day is movable, with dates shifting from year to year.
In actuality, the date of the Paschal Full Moon is determined from historical tables, and no longer directly corresponds to lunar events.
As astronomers were able to approximate the dates of all the full moons in future years, the Western Christian Church used these calculations to establish a table of Ecclesiastical Full Moon dates. These dates would determine the Holy Days on the Ecclesiastical calendar.
The Paschal Full Moon can vary as much as two days from the date of the actual full moon, with dates ranging from March 21 to April 18. As a result, Easter dates can range from March 22 through April 25 in Western Christianity.
"AND UNDERSTAND THE CHRISTIAN RESURRECTION WAS NOT THE FIRST"
Among the ruins of ancient Egypt (Kemet) are the records of a bearded, long-haired Savior, whose resurrection from the dead influenced generations of followers to believe in life after death.
He was called “Shepherd,” “King of Kings,” and “Lord of Lords,” and he was depicted in art for thousands of years with the ankh cross of eternal life.
The first King of Egypt, he was recorded in myth as the recurring “Phoenix” bird who appears perennially in the East to herald each new age.
The African Egyptian (Kemetians) name of this Christ-like resurrected Savior whom the African Egyptians sought to follow was Asar (“Osiris” in Greek) and the extent and ramifications of his parallels to the later “Christ” figure of history have not yet been truly grasped by scholars or Egyptologists.
Like the Christ in the bible... The Day of Judgment is a central tenet of the Christian religion.
The souls of the deceased shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Those who have followed his teachings during their lives shall be deemed righteous and be admitted to heaven.
II Corinthians 5:10 says: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat [emphasis added] of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
In the Ancient African Egyptian ceremony the heart of the deceased, symbolic of his virtue, moral character, and earthly deeds, was laid on a set of scales and weighed against a single feather representing MAAT, the divine law.
If the scales balanced, the deceased was allowed to pass into heaven.
As judge, Osiris was always portrayed in the seated position, a posture that parallels the New Testament’s descriptions of the judgment seat of Christ.
What are we to make of these striking similarities?
Did Christian scholars simply “borrow” images and symbols of Osiris from the Ancient African Egyptian beliefs?
Or does this evidence reveal a profound and hitherto undiscovered recurring “Messianic Phenomenon” that has been affecting the course of human civilization?
By uncovering the similarities common to the African Egyptian and Christian beliefs are we, in fact, re-discovering the sacred blueprints of an ancient Messianic tradition that has been attempting to accelerate man’s cultural and spiritual development since the beginning of history?

Easter along with Christmas are not mentioned in the Bible and neither should they be celebrated the way they are today as both have pagan origins?!
The name "Easter" originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God.
The Venerable Bede, (672-735 CE.) a Christian scholar, first asserted in his book De Ratione Temporum that Easter was named after Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre).
She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe.
Similarly, the "Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [was] known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos."
Her name was derived from the ancient word for spring: "eastre."
Similar Goddesses were known by other names in ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, and were celebrated in the springtime.
Some were:
•Aphrodite, named Cytherea (Lady of Cythera) and Cypris (Lady of Cyprus) after the two places which claimed her birth
• Ashtoreth from ancient Israel
• Astarte from Ancient Greece
• Demeter from Mycenae
• Hathor from ancient Egypt
• Ishtar from Assyria
• Kali, from India
and
• Ostara a Norse Goddess of fertility.
Passover (in the Old Testament) is a week long observation; Hebrew's sacrificed a lamb and mixed the blood of the lamb with hyssop then marked the entry way to their homes to save their first borns from a curse.
Passover in 2013 is from 3/25 to 4/2
Passover 2014 began the evening of
Monday, April 14 and it ends in the evening of Tuesday, April 22.
The Resurrection occurred on a single day (a Sunday (in the New Testament)) and occurred approximately around the first week in April!
The Christ represented the sacrificial lamb mentioned in the Old Testament and his blood was used to save our souls just as the blood on the entry ways saved the spirits of the first borns!
So if we truly want to pay homage during this time of the year celebrate both the Passover and the Resurrection... Not Pagan rituals associated with eggs and rabbits (both symbols of fertility)!
Understand that information left to us in the Bible has been altered and tainted with but still contains historical information as well as analogies and parables that can help us develop our spirits which is what the Christ wanted!
