WHAT DOES UBUNTU MEAN?!

UBUNTU: (Zulu/Xhosa pronunciation: [ùɓúntʼú]; English: /uˈbʊntuː/ oo-buun-too) or "uMunthu" (Chichewa) and "Botho" (Setswana) is a southern African ethic or humanist philosophy focusing on people's allegiances and relations with each other.

Ubuntu is a Nguni Bantu term meaning "humanity." It is often translated as "I am because we are," or "humanity towards others," or in Xhosa, "umntu ngumntu ngabantu" but is often used in a more philosophical sense to mean "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity."

Many believe that ubuntu is a classical African philosophy or worldview!

Just as in Pre-civilizations and in the Bible the number 12 (Twelve) has significant meanings... See the 12 (Twelve) below.

Ubuntu is recognized as being an important source of law within the context of strained or broken relationships amongst individuals or communities and as an aid for providing remedies which contribute towards more mutually acceptable remedies for the parties in such cases.

Ubuntu means love, truth, peace, happiness, eternal optimism, inner goodness, etc.

Ubuntu is the essence of a human being, the divine spark of goodness inherent within each being. From the beginning of time the divine principles of Ubuntu have guided African societies.

Ubuntu can best be described as an African philosophy that places emphasis on 'being self through others'. It is a form of humanism which can be expressed in the phrases 'I am because of who we all are' and ubuntu ngumuntu ngabantu in Zulu language.

Ubuntu is a concept which:

• Is to be contrasted with vengeance.

• Dictates that a high value be placed on the life of a human being.

• Is inextricably linked to the values of and which places a high premium on dignity, compassion, humaneness and respect for humanity of another.

• Dictates a shift from confrontation to mediation and conciliation.

• Dictates good attitudes and shared concern.

• Favors the re-establishment of harmony in the relationship between parties and that such harmony should restore the dignity of the plaintiff without ruining the defendant.

• Favors restorative rather than retributive justice.

• Operates in a direction favouring reconciliation rather than estrangement of disputants.

• Works towards sensitising a disputant or a defendant in litigation to the hurtful impact of his actions to the other party and towards changing such conduct rather than merely punishing the disputant.

• Promotes mutual understanding rather than punishment.

• Favors face-to-face encounters of disputants with a view to facilitating differences being resolved rather than conflict and victory for the most powerful.

• Favors civility and civilized dialogue premised on mutual tolerance.

WOULD YOU WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD AND SOCIETY LIKE THIS?

MAYBE IT'S TIME TO RE-THINK THE PHILOSOPHIES WE WANT TO FOLLOW!

THIS POST HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LINUX BASED OPERATING SYSTEM THAT USES THE SAME NAME!

🤬 (Something else Europeans want to take) 🤬

I would like to request for help to be assisted for the sake of my mother's health. She is sick with chronic Asmatic condition which makes her life difficult with prolonged cough. We wish to request for help to relocate her from our rular areas which is very cold and difficult for her to survive. All the triggers of her condition are present in that area. Helping her out to relocate will be the number one help. Thankyou in advance for your kind gesture towards a sick mother.

What most slave minded black people, who, sad to say are from Africa, do not see is how evil and racist Facebook is and how it protects white supremacy and silences black people who speak truth while they promote black people who post the most self degrading messages towards black people.
