HOW TO MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE!

HOW TO MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE I listen to world news and can't help but notice the great stress people go through trying to immigrate to other countries, willing to sacrifice all for a 'better' future, for children, for spouse, for aged parents or merely for survival. Some pay the ultimate price trying to cross the Sahara deserts, battle the Mediterranean sea or climb the feared rocky mountains in the west. And they are lost forever to those they try to save. It is not just black migrants trying to get into Europe from Africa, you have Syrian refugees fleeing the war at home to get into Cyprus and the south Americans trying to get into the USA. We have the same recurring tales across the globe. Some manage to get to the borders and are turned back, they do not meet the criteria for entry. They do not have sufficient funds to boost the economy of the host country, they do not have the correct paper work, or are merely at the right place at the wrong time. A migrant who has managed to get in and lived several years may even be deported for incorrect papers. I want a world where movement is unrestricted, like in the days of old when Abraham could move his family into another land and settle, enjoy the bounty of nature without being accosted. This is unrealistic and too much to ask you may say, but no, think again. It was once said that man was not meant to and cannot fly. But today it's the contrary. Man has gone into space and has invented artificial intelligence. There's no limit to what the human mind can do, as long as you can imagine it, you can achieve it. Going the way we are, the era of human-machine hybids and cyber wars are approaching, as seen in the science fictions, and by the way the science fiction of the previous century are our present realities. But clearly, these movies gives us the clue as to what the game changer is, our humanity. Yes, it is our humanity. The very nature of being human. That which makes a mother breastfeed and curdle her newborn, that makes the groom risk his life to rescue his bride in a burning chamber, or the child that wipes the tears of a younger sibling. A smile here, a little hug there and a soothing lullaby. As we go to work, as we sit in the place of power, of authority, in enacting laws or in our simple everyday activity, let's remember our humanity. This sadly brings a tear to my eye, for I wish the story could have been otherwise or that a correction of the mistake done could have been feasible. It is of a popular journalist who committed suicide because he took a picture of a vulture waiting to feast on a dying malnourished child. He got much award and attention for this captured piece, but his attention was 'rudely' brought to the fact that he also preyed on the demise of this helpless human. He did not lend a helping hand even though he could very easily have done so. From my point of view, neither did he deserve that fate. A popular musician sang, ' it's a human sign when things go wrong'. To have a perfect world is to be striped of humanity. The freedom to make mistakes and correct them is mankind. If every country can cooperate together and be more fluid in their Immigration laws, do in reverse of what they are doing now. Applying humanity and love, thinking first of the other human before their gain. Life would be a complete turnaround. For it then means that immigration laws would favour the poor, and be more difficult for the rich. The rich will be forced to stay and make positive changes where they are, and the poor who become rich in diaspora will loose the criteria for being there and be required to come back and joyfully make his home a beautiful place of abode. The president of one of the great countries in the east sarcastically commented that Africa is a burial place, how can it be developed. The rich travel out, school out, build out, live out, and when they die are brought back to Africa for burial. Sad but true. Do you still think this task cannot be accomplished? All it takes is love. And this is what religion was meant to remind us of

"Men in Blazers Present Gods of Soccer - The Pantheon of the 100 Greatest Soccer Players (According to Us)"

"Can we be clear up front? To create a definitive list of the 100 greatest ever to have played football is an act of folly undertaken only by those who like to grab the third rail. One of the true joys of football is that no two fans’ experience of it is the same. Everybody sees the game, the characters, and the key moments differently. That is what makes football the world’s most compelling collective narrative.

So, we present this book to you with a sense of joy and delight and an element of mischief. It is our hope you will revel in the depictions of players you adore, discover some stories you have never heard, then foam and fume at our idiocy, which can be the only plausible explanation as to why your favorite player is not included.

And we encourage you to go forth and put together your own 100 and let us know.
