Ban of Gas Generators Leads the Use of Solar Generators as a Backup Power Source:
In December, 2021, the State of California banned the future sale and use of gas generators due to their damaging environmental impact.
The California gas generator ban begins formally on January 1, 2028, but already, Californians are looking to transition from gas generators.
While the law is not an outright ban on the use of gas generators, it prohibits the future sale of gas generators in California.
It doesn’t ban people from bringing gas-powered generators into the state or from using existing gas generators that the owners may have currently in their home or business.
But the intent and the amount of public support of the ban means gas generators in California are going to meet their demise sooner rather than later!
There are numerous advantages of using a portable solar generator for backup power.
Solar generators are powered by the sun’s energy, meaning that they produce no emissions or pollutants.
California is among the states with the highest amount of sunshine annual and is among the highest concentration of use of solar energy anywhere in the United States.
The sun will remain available for Californians to charge solar generators as an on-demand power source.
