Anarchists Stage Last Stand in Canada

I’m currently watching Canadian anarchists as they stage a last stand against the Canadian government in Ottawa. The police have amassed at least two thousand officers from all across the country and are pushing the protesters away from the parliament and surrounding areas of downtown Ottawa. Three of the main organizers of the rally were already arrested while the rest of the anarchists are staging a losing battle but I’m sure that in their minds, they are the ones who will win in the long run.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about what Canadian anarchists refer to as the “Freedom Convoy” against Covid-19 mandates in Canada. Truckers along with hundreds of other ideological groups headed to Ottawa to demonstrate against two years of Covid-19 lockdowns, mask mandates, and Vaccine requirements. Unfortunately, the people of Ottawa soon realized that the organizers of the rally had ulterior motives. Those ulterior motives were cleverly hidden as they hope to use the frustrations of anti-vaxers and right-wing white freedom fighters to disrupt and to ultimately overthrow the Canadian government.

Anarchist come in many different forms. Some Anarchists know exactly what they’re doing and some just love to follow their friends. White supremacists who resort to anarchy do so because of a lack of power to carry out their unethical views. Minorities engage in anarchy because we see it as an easy way to fight injustice or our purposeful exclusion from the legal, economic and political policy making levels of our governments. Most anarchists we see here in Canada are either fearful of authority or have extreme religious and racist ideological views that go against the deocratic system of government.

Some might say that it’s unfair to refer to peaceful demonstrators as anarchists but when you listen to their message, its very clear that none of them could ever govern a country. To them, freedom is all about doing whatever you want to do when and however you want to do it. This is referred to as “anarchy” and no country on Earth can ever function or survive in such a condition. The government is simply acting to end this protest that has now descended into anarchy in order to save face and to show the majority of Canadians that Canada will not be influenced by American political trends.

The truth is that the Freedom Convoy that has been crippling businesses and life in downtown Ottawa was organized and funded by white supremacists. At least one of the organizers is a well-known white supremacist from Alberta, which is traditionally known as Right-Wing conservative territory. In recent years, Right-Wing conservatism in Canada has been taking ques from the success of White Nationalists in America. In fact, numerous well-known American conservative talk show hosts and politicians including Donald Trump have voiced their support for the Canadian protestors.

The Freedom Convoy rally might come to an end today but now that white supremacists in Canada, America, and other regions of the world that they still control, see the they can use Anarchists to further their goal of maintaining control over Indigenous populations, these types of demonstrations will only increase in frequency and scope.
