We Don’t Need Your Apologies
While observing the activities of humanity this past week something began to annoy me and it reiterated my belief that Indigenous people would rather remain mentally enslaved to the colonizers than craft their own spiritual destiny. Unfortunately, most Black and African people are in the same situation. Don't you think it's time to tell the colonizers that we don't need their apologies.
This past week the Pope, head of the most powerful religious group in the world paid a visit to Canada. He did so at the urging of Canada’s indigenous peoples, the Inuit, Metis, and the First Nations. You see, for decades these groups have been crying out for justice and reparations over the destruction of their culture at the hands of the Canadian government, the British Monarchy, and the Catholic Church.
The Canadian government has made several apologies as well as financial compensations to Indigenous groups over the years. The British Monarchy has also offered apologies and has sent members of the Royal family to visit Indigenous people. The final and most important apology they sought was from the Catholic Church who were not only responsible for the forced re-education and Spiritual indoctrination of Indigenous people at Residential schools, they are also responsible for countless incidents of physical and sexual abuse of Indigenous children.
After years of being invited, the Pope finally came and thousands of Indigenous people flocked to see him offer his apologies but instead of being angry, most Indigenous people simply wanted to honor the Pope and let him know that although they don’t like how their brainwashing was done, they’ve forgiven the church for their forced indoctrination into Christianity. I’m sure the Pope was pleasantly surprised at these revelations and wished he had visited Canada’s Indigenous people sooner because as faith among Europeans is waning, the faith of colonized people is actually on the rise.
I’m wondering what happened to the pride that indigenous people love to express about having a long and rich spiritual history that precedes the white man? The truth is that if their spiritual traditions were as great as they profess them to be, why is it so hard for them to break out of Christianity and return to their own beliefs? This is the #1 psychological failure of Indigenous spirituality. it doesn’t match up with the reality of modern times.
Black and African people also love to profess to having a rich and powerful spiritual past without knowing that only beliefs based on ethics will ever survive humanity’s ills. We must understand that it is man that creates Gods. That means that every race of people must create their own spiritual belief system because if we don’t, we will never gain the mental strength to overcome the unethical propensities within ourselves and more so of colonizing races.
Apologies are not welcomed when a weaker spiritual belief system tried to dominate a stronger one and fails. The stronger belief system learns from their mistakes and embarks on a mission to build a stronger psychological doctrine. This is the premise of the HERU Interface and it is why I don’t need or seek apologies from the Pope for the centuries of physical and mental abuse of my ancestors.
I know that their spiritual beliefs only worked because it was backed up by force. Now that Rome and the Pope recognizes that their spiritual belief system is in trouble, they’re trying to return to using the psychology of kindness and forgiveness as the original Christians did. It may be working on most of us but not conscious minded Black people. We don’t need their apologies.
