Does Africa’s Billionaires Care About Western Aid Vultures?

According to Forbes magazine, Africa is home to several of the world’s richest people. This statistic is surprising to a lot of people in western countries because the narrative that we have traditionally been fed is that Africa is the poorest continent of Earth where people live in huts and depend on foreign Food and Medical Aid. In terms of per-capita income, Africa is poor compared to most other places but when it comes to Natural Resources there is no continent richer than Africa. So, why is there such a disparity between the personal wealth of Africans and the value of Africa’s Natural Resources?

Among the many ways in which the West actively maintains the underdevelopment of Africa is through the industry of Aid. In most cases, Aid is a false-conscious endeavor to profit off the despair of Africans. If you were to gain access to the Accounting books of all the Aid organizations working in Africa, you would discover that 75 to 90% of the money they collect from donors goes into Administrative Costs. That means that their CEOs and staff all collect six figure incomes and they find ways to funnel most of the rest of the money back to themselves. Only a small percentage of money actually makes it to Africa in the form of Food and Medical Aid.

While in Africa, these Aid groups make sure to find and film the poorest Africans, which they then use to create Advertising in the West to keep their Donations rolling in. The result of all this Aid propaganda is that most Westerners don’t know that Africa has Billionaires, Millionaires, luxury Homes and Cars of all sorts. Forget about all the African wealth that we do not see. The real question is; does Africa’s Billionaires care about the Western Aid Vultures?

Africans, have you seen or witnessed any initiative by African Billionaires to improve the Health, Education, or Employment opportunities for average Africans to succeed in life? I know Aliko Dangote of Nigeria has a foundation but is he doing enough?
