The process is designed to be straightforward and private, involving two parties: the person who was blocked (the “Appealer”) and the person who initiated the block (the “Reviewer”).
For the Person Submitting an Appeal:Have you discovered that another user has blocked you? If you believe the block was a misunderstanding or wish to respectfully reconnect, you now have the option to send a private appeal.
Discovering the Block: When you visit the profile of a user who has blocked you or try to interact with them, you will see a notification stating: “username” has blocked you informing you of the reason for blocking (optional).
Submitting the Appeal: You will also see a button labeled “Appeal”. Clicking this button will allow you to submit a response/appeal reason to the user who blocked you. The system will send a single, private notification to the person who blocked you.
What Happens Next? After you send your appeal, one of two things will happen:
Appeal Approved: If the other person accepts your appeal, you will receive a notification stating, "A member who blocked you “username”" has approved your appeal. The block will be lifted, and you can interact with them again.
Appeal Ignored or Denied: If the person chooses not to unblock you, they can simply ignore or dismiss your request. You will not receive any notification. The process ends silently to respect their decision and prevent further unwanted communication.
