If education is important to you, it’s wise to marry someone who also values education.

It is not a sin to desire a partner who is academically sound. It is a valid and good desire.

Yes, it’s true that educational qualifications CANNOT keep a home, but if education is a non-negotiable for you, then own it and go for what you truly want.

Now, if the person isn’t as educated as you desire, the question is this: Does he/she intend to further?

Not because of you.

Not to impress you.

But because they value education.

If he/she is an SSCE holder and has plans to further their studies, let them start the process before marriage.

Why? Because some people marry and relax.

You may marry them and they may remain an SSCE holder forever. But if the process has already started before marriage, that shows intention.

That said, let me say this again.

It is not educational qualifications that sustain a marriage. #selah

If that were the case, many Master’s and PhD holders wouldn’t be div0rced today.

However, I do not believe in minimizing what people genuinely desire in a partner.

If it matters to you, don’t settle for less because settling may breed resentment later.

My two cents. #michaelosita
