A Thought on Discernment, Unity, and Our Collective Forward Motion

Earlier today, a friend shared a video circulating online featuring one Black leader questioning another's intentions regarding the Million Man March. I appreciate the passion and the desire for accountability. But I've been sitting with a deeper question:

How does this content help us move forward?

Does it build bridges—or widen divides—among us, especially when we hold differing perspectives, opinions, and imperfections?

There is a time and place for critique. But in a moment where our community faces systemic challenges that demand unprecedented unity, I believe we must be intentional about what we amplify.

Let's ask ourselves before we share:

Does this elevate our collective consciousness or fuel fragmentation?

Does it offer a constructive path forward, or simply assign blame?

Are we prioritizing truth and love, or truth without grace?

Our strength has always been in our ability to gather, to reconcile, and to build despite disagreement. Let's not allow internal discord to sabotage the very unity we need to create lasting change.

I'm not calling for silence. I'm calling for strategy. For wisdom. For love that corrects and connects.

If you're working toward solutions that uplift our people—economically, spiritually, culturally—I'd love to connect. Let's focus our energy on building the ecosystems, platforms, and partnerships that move us from conversation to transformation.
