Here's the history lesson your school will never give you. America didn't just have slavery. It had a system of breeding black people like livestock. After the transatlantic slave trade was outlawed and eighteen await, the US didn't stop slavery. It industrialized. Their slaveholders turned to what historians call the slave breeding industry. And slave black women were forced to have children, not for family, but for profit. Those children were born into slavery and sold like cattle, fueling the entire Southern economy. Thomas Jefferson himself admitted that enslaved women's rooms were, quote, the most profitable crop on the plantation. This wasn't some small side note. By the Civil War, the sale and reproduction of enslaved people was one of the biggest economic engines in America. Families were torn apart, women were assaulted and children were treated as property before they could even walk. And here's the hidden part, Those profits didn't just vanish, They were invested into banks, railroads, univ. Vs. And companies that are still powerful today. So when people say slavery was a long time ago, get over it. They're ignoring the fact that slavery didn't just build the South, it built the wealth of the entire United States. And that legacy is still alive in the institutions and fortunes that were literally born out of black suffering. Share believe, inspire blacks be.
