#Featured #travel #ForYourInformation ( Minar-e-Pakistan ) is one of the important monuments of Pakistan situated in Iqbal Park, Lahore. The minaret was constructed to remember the Lahore Resolution wherein the Muslims of the subcontinent demanded the creation of a separate homeland. This resolution gave rise to Pakistan.

The construction of Minar-e-Pakistan started after 1960 and was refurbished in 1968. The dimensions of the minaret have been developed by the renowned Turkish architect, Murad Khan. The height of the minaret is 70 meters and the base of the minaret is designed like a flower that depicts various periods of Pakistan and its different beliefs. The lower part of the minaret represents the architecture of Mughals while its upper part represents modern architecture due to changes in time.

There are beautiful gardens all around the minaret, which are visited by many people who prefer to take their walk there. The mental museum of the minaret contains images and historic data related to the Pakistan Movement. The Minar-e-Pakistan at night glitters with lights.
