The event will feature the Scott Joplin Chamber Orchestra (SJCO), guest vocalists, choir, and spoken word, performing orchestral works, spirituals, contemporary Black classics, and dramatic oratory. This free, family-friendly annual tribute is a celebration of Dr. King's life and work, and a reminder of our ongoing commitment to social justice and equality.
Two Performances Across Houston
The 42nd Annual Musical Tribute will take place in two performances across Houston: on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Christ Church Cathedral, and on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. Both concerts are free and open to the public, with donations accepted.
