Thanks to the quick thinking of a Good Samaritan named Logan Hayes, who happened to be driving by, Apollon was rescued from the sinking car. Hayes jumped into action, swimming roughly 30 feet to reach the vehicle and opening the door to pull Apollon out to safety.

After being rushed to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, doctors performed an emergency C-section. At 33 weeks, baby Ivory Sully was born, and although she required NICU care, both mother and daughter are recovering well.
