Before laying down to sleep, I was viewing trending stories of recent incidents in Mississippi where "Trey" Reed, 21, and Cory Zukatis, 36, were both found dead hanging from a tree.

At midnight I got a phone call from a friend who asked me for the crisis hotline.  He said if someone doesn't come immediately, he was going to end his life. This is the 2nd time he reached out to me, but this one sounded much more severe.  I would have rushed to his rescue but couldn't for lack of transportation.  I called someone to come pick me up or go check on him but got no answer, so I called 911.

Shortly thereafter another friend who also knew him answered the phone. When I explained the situation all he did was laugh and I could hear others in the background laughing about it as well.  All of them were friends and associates he frequently spent time together with. That is when my mind went into outrage because they are street level substance abuse dealers who provide the drugs which are ruining our neighborhoods, poisoning our people, and causing economic chaos that keeps us from advancing in life.

When 911 arrived, they called me back and said my friend in crisis refused their help and demanded they get off his father's property.

I'm not perfect and had bouts with substance abuse as well as depression but never lost compassion for others or hope that we together can overcome our problems by supporting each other in times of need and showing brother and sisterly love.

I believe my purpose in life is to somehow help and unite tens of millions of people across the globe for a common humanitarian cause and facilitate massive positive change that will uplift my people and make this world a better place for everyone.

Call me a dreamer and optimist but all things great start with a vision. A major fault with most people is they give up on their dreams and become complacent or allow society and opinions of others to extinguish their fire to achieve something different that no one has done before or improbable but not impossible.  I refuse to allow that defeat to be part of my story either told or untold in history.

I am here at my desk every day and night working towards my goal. Blaqsbi.com  is a social media platform developed by my good friend Dimitry Saint Pierre who share the same passion I have to build something we black people of the world need, adds great value to our social ,economic and political struggles  and should leave behind a technology legacy  which will hopefully benefit us all, not just a fortunate few.
