BREAKING: CRUEL KARMA! An avowed "super Trump supporter” gets falsely smeared as a murderer by the administration and deported to a tiny country in Africa — even though he's originally from Cuba. Be careful what kind of government you wish for... Roberto Mosquera once described himself as a "super Trump supporter" but now finds himself trapped in a maximum-security prison in Eswatini, a small landlocked country in southern Africa. Trump's Department of Homeland Security detained him, falsely claimed that he was a killer, and shuttled him off across the ocean three months ago. ICE agents detained Mosquera during his annual checkup. Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin falsely tweeted that he had been "convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated battery." “I was hysterical… It’s literally on their verified page that my dad is a murderer,” his daughter Monica Mosquera told The Daily Beast. In reality, Mosquera moved to the United States from Cuba roughly 50 years ago. When he was 18, he was charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a man in the leg. He was never charged or convicted with actual homicide. Mosquera served nine years in prison after which he "rebuilt his life," according to his attorney. He is now gainfully employed as a plumber and has a strong relationship with Monica and her 9-year-old sister. “My dad did his time—he married my mom, who’s American, had American daughters, and changed his life around,” said Monica. “My dad was an amazing father; he is a good man.” At first, DHS lied to Monica and told her that her father had been deported to Cuba. She lated learned through the local news station that he had actually been sent to a hellish prison in Eswatini, a country that he has no connection to and likely had never heard of. "They were saying he was a murderer... Then they lied to me saying that he was sent to Cuba, and I had to find out about a week later that he was actually sent to Africa,” said Monica. Mosquera's U.S.-based attorney Alma David revealed that the Eswatini government — which has been accused of brutal humans rights violations — has still not charged her client with a crime or even bothered to provide a legal pretext for his continued imprisonment. In other words, they're illegally holding him simply because the Trump administration asked them to. The Eswatini government previously requested $500 million as payment to hold detainees. It's unclear if they have received such payment. David informed the Associated Press that Mosquera has been on hunger strike since October 15th. “My client is arbitrarily detained, and now his life is on the line,” stated David. “I urge the Eswatini Correctional Services to provide Mr. Mosquera’s family and me with an immediate update on his condition and to ensure that he is receiving adequate medical attention. I demand that Mr. Mosquera be permitted to meet with his lawyer in Eswatini.” "I asked him, ‘Why did you even support Trump?’” said Monica, who is not part of the MAGA movement. “And he was like, ‘He’s the president. Have faith that things are gonna be different and things are gonna change.’” While it's perhaps hard to summon sympathy for a man who supported the authoritarian cult leader who has now destroyed his life, it's important that we condemn these heinous deportations. Dumping people in foreign countries where they don't speak the local language or have any friends or family is a form of psychological terrorism. Please like and share!#Uhuru
