This has become a major issue now. Overstaying parents should be ready to bear whatever consequences they face. My technician overstayed a few days during his last trip for a training. Instead of approving his drop box application, he was handed a 221g to appear for an interview.On getting there, he explained to them why he overstayed. It was due to an unscheduled training programme with Digikey and he presented the certificate to the VO. When he said he just wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone to save travel cost, the VO burst into laughter and approved his visa. What am I driving at? He said the majority of those who were interviewed under 221g overstayed and were denied visa that day. But Davido, as exposed as he is should have known better,.likewise the wife. She could have come back , spent a week or 2 and then, travelled back to continue the omugwo. Moni dey, they can afford it.
