MY KIDS
I miss my kids and I still see them in my dreams and every time I close my eyes, each time I stretch my arms to touch them I realize it was just an imagination.
it was on February 14 #Valentine's day when I took my wife out for a romantic outing and of course I won't leave my beautiful babes at home so we all went out to have fun, though I'm usually not around due to the nature of my job, it was a week off so that day was more than special so we weren't going to spend it watching #TV.
We went to a fancy restaurant where we had launch, my eldest daughter #Kendra that was 8 at the time wouldn't want to leave my side while #Trisha that was just 6 sat close Valarie my wife so we played a game of who know each other more of course I lost with the excuse of me letting them win.
It was fun, next we went to the park where the kids played while I and #Valarie had time to talk and spend alone time with each other, sure we argued and laughed because we spoke about how we met and what who wore that day and what who said and how it came out it was crazy but we got into the moment that we didn't realize how and when our kids where taken.
By the time we were done laughing at how stupid we were back then and appreciated how far we've gotten and how God had blessed us with beautiful babes we wanted to watch them playing but they were gone.
At first we didn't suspected anything because alot of activities where going on and we felt they'll be behind the trains, cars or even behind a tree or something but then they weren't, we began to ask questions but before we could realize what was going on it was too late to raise an alarm.
I began to question myself if I was being monitored or who's doing this and why but while I was brainstorming my phone rang it was an unknown number I didn't want to pick but I had no choice, I picked and the caller asked me to listen carefully that if I ever wanted to see my daughters again I should follow he's instructions carefully.
He identified himself as Dr. Payback he told me to listen twice cus he's going to only speak once, that he's watching me he described what I was wearing, what I was doing and where I was standing, Dr. Payback mentioned he knew I was armed, I never left my gun nor my badge at home we were taught in the force to be prepared at all times.
He said because of me a friend of his is in jail, he gave me 20 mins to find out who and that he'll call back before we discussed how I'm going to let him out.
After the call ended I told my wife that we are being watched that the kidnapper is still in the park but that he has asked for his friend to be released but I didn't know who, I didn't want to complicate the issue by calling and asking too much questions because I didn't want to offend Dr. Payback into harming my kids.
It was 15 minutes gone and I still didn't know what to do and the phone rang again, it was an unknown number as expected and He said I was smart not to start making calls, this time he asked Kendra to say hi to me and she screamed daddy!!! before I could say anything she was dragged away.
He said he'll give a clue that the friend was brought in for being among a rubbery gang about a retail store, that they were three, one was shot dead, he escaped but his friend was captured.
Dr Payback said he needed his guy released as so as I wanted to see my kids and that by 12 midnight I'll have only one to fight for after all he lost a brother at the exchange of fire (the call ended).
The first thing that came to my mind was not to talk he could be close or have someone close telling him what I'm saying, I knew who he was talking about and that day I lost two of my men and nothing would let other officers release that man.
I realized if he was seeing me that means he wasn't out of the park and also my kids so first I shifted from where I was into a building and texted my location to my colleague briefly explaining what was going on and asked him secretly to have men monitor the environment as I pretend to play his games.
I hope this works I said to myself, I also texted my colleague to come pick Valarie pretend to exchange pleasantries with her, he did while I pretended to be making a phone call and moved away from them.
I didn't want her involved in this but her reactions made Dr. Payback call me "you think you're smart, well I have what you want and you have what i want and your time is ticking"
