David got up, and got closer to Amanda. He was taller, his breath met hers like they were going to ki§§.
Amanda's cheeks reddened but she pushed him back, her female arms were weak, so he just shook a little.
“David why are you so impatient, just like your father?”
David smiled and took her arms. “Maybe the problem is you, the effect you had on us”
Amanda pretended not to hear the hint of love in his voice.
She stepped back and immediately changed the subject:
"Oh yes, Jason, offered to allow us to use his place on Marcus Island for as long as we want."
Now you see, Jason had been a friend of Roland's, her ex husband, but unlike Roland he seemed to be a sincere guy and had shown compassion when Amanda told him she and Roland had separated.
And from the looks of it. He liked her but Amanda was not ready or maybe she liked someone else...
"Really, where is Marcus Island?" David asked.
"It is a small, and according to Jason Hensley, a very exclusive and exotic island, somewhere off the coast of France. I thought we could go during spring break ... that is if you want to go on spring break with your old mother."
She smiled at him and added, “it will be just the two of us — a mother and her son”
David smiled. "First of all you are not old and secondly, I would rather go on spring break with you than anyone I know."
Amanda actually blushed. "Thank you," she said rather shyly as she covered clasped her cheek with both hands.
David was so sweet and she wondered why he didn't have a steady girlfriend.
He was an extremely handsome boy with a great smile and pretty eyes.
She knew he was shy and seemed younger than his twenty years, which probably made it difficult for him to connect with college girls. She worried about his lack of girl friends.
"So, when do we leave for this mysterious place?"
"We fly to France on Monday and then take a private seaplane to the island the following day. Jason said a plane or a long boat ride was the only way to get there. So he is allowing us to fly in via his plane."
"Wow, sounds really nice. We can also swim right?"
"Yes we can," she answered with a smile. She knew that he had wanted to try out the new swimming equipment since Christmas when she had surprised him with it.
David had been having sweet dreams about his mother for some time.
He knew it was wrong, but what was he to do when she always appeared in his dreams.
She was still young at 40 and had kept herself in great shape.
Most people that didn't know them thought they were brother and sister. He had seen photos of her when she was his age and she was just a beautiful today as she was then.
He would often go though the albums and look at her and his dad.
David missed his dad, who had died 8 years ago. He never wanted his step mom to remarry, but he knew she needed someone.
And now they were going to an exotic island together, just her and him. It didn't get any better than that, but a sudden sweet thought Rose in his mind.
He moved behind his stepmom and embraced again, like his weight was on her. It was normal for Amanda because he usually acted like a big baby towards her. And if he could, he would have climbed her back.
"My baby, what do you want again..." she knew his baby language that he needed her attention.

He began juggling ha Bobby-melons and skiwzing, still Amanda did not stop him because she saw it as a childish joke, she had breastfed him when his mom died when she married his dad.
David was more than a stepson, he was her son in a way.
David whispered into her ear “Since I am your baby boy, I am famished, why not allow me sork your Bobby-melons before you're through with the meal...”
