Kenya Moore's Hair Spa Embroiled in $80,000 Rent Dispute
Reality TV star Kenya Moore is at the center of a heated legal battle with her Atlanta hair spa landlord over an alleged $80,000 unpaid rent. But Moore claims she's not the one who owes the money - and that the truth behind the dispute is far more complex than what's being reported.Kenya Moore Denies Owing $80,000 in Unpaid Rent
According to reports, a Georgia judge recently ordered Kenya Moore to pay a total of $87,976 in back rent for her hair spa. However, Moore insists that the narrative being pushed by the media is only half the story. In an Instagram post, she declared that she's actually owed money by her landlord, Northland Chamblee LLC.
The Dispute Dates Back to 2024
The dispute between Moore and her landlord began in October 2025, when Northland Chamblee LLC sued Moore's company, Moore Vision Media. The landlord alleged that Moore's salon had ceased paying rent and utilities as far back as December 2024. However, Moore claims that she invested over $300,000 of her own capital to transform the commercial space from a 'white box' into the luxury hair spa it is today.
Moore Claims Landlord Failed to Reimburse Tenant Improvement Allowance
According to Moore, part of her lease agreement included a tenant improvement allowance - a common commercial real estate incentive where the landlord reimburses the tenant for a portion of construction costs. However, Moore claims that her landlord failed to reimburse her nearly $80,000 in contractual expenses, leading her to withhold rent in an effort to reach a fair settlement.
The dispute between Kenya Moore and her hair spa landlord is far from over. With both sides presenting different versions of the truth, it remains to be seen how this legal battle will unfold. One thing is certain, however - the reality TV star's reputation as a savvy businesswoman has been put to the test.
