Tasha K's Financial Struggle: A GoFundMe Campaign to Pay Off Millions Owed to Cardi B

Tasha K Launches GoFundMe to Help Pay Off Millions Owed to Cardi BIn a surprising move, popular blogger Tasha K has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help pay off the millions she owes to Cardi B. The news comes after Tasha lost a defamation case to the Bronx rapper in 2022, with a jury awarding Cardi roughly $4 million in damages and legal fees.

A Defamation Case That Left a Lasting Impact
In 2019, Cardi B took Tasha to court over claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The case centered around allegations made by Tasha about Cardi's personal life, including accusations of drug use, sexual activity, and STDs. A jury ultimately sided with Cardi in 2022, awarding her a significant sum in damages.

A Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Filing and Court-Approved Payment Plan
In an effort to reorganize her finances, Tasha filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2023. Later that year, she and Cardi agreed to a court-approved payment plan that requires Tasha to pay nearly $1.2 million over the next five years. The payments start at around $176,000 in the first year and increase to over $318,000 by year five.

Tasha's GoFundMe Campaign: A Call for Support
Despite already making steady payments toward the judgment, Tasha is turning to her supporters for help. She has launched a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of paying off the balance faster. According to Tasha, any money donated will go directly toward reducing the overall balance.

Tasha K's decision to launch a GoFundMe campaign highlights the financial struggles she faces in paying off her debt to Cardi B. While some may view this move as a last resort, it also demonstrates Tasha's commitment to taking responsibility for her actions and working towards a resolution.
