My husband and I have been married 2 years. Last weekend, one of his old secondary school friends came into town and asked if he could stay at our place for a few nights. I was fine with it until supper that night. While my husband stepped out to grab something from the car, his friend leaned over and said, "You know, you're a lot prettier than the photos he showed me. Too bad you settled for him." Then he winked. I was stunned but didn't say anything in the moment. Later, when my husband came back, I pulled him aside and told him what happened. His friend denied it and said I "misheard." I told my husband I didn't want him staying here after that. My husband said he agreed it was inappropriate, but since he already promised his friend a place to stay, could we just "keep the peace" for the weekend? I said no and told his friend to find a hotel and kicked him out of the house that night. My husband is annoyed and says he paid the rent and I "overreacted" and "made it awkward." It is my home too and have every right to kick him out. Did I go too far?
